What happens during a boiler service
A proper service is more than a quick look. Our engineers will:
- Visually inspect the boiler, flue and pipework for wear, leaks or corrosion
- Check gas pressure and test the burner and combustion with a flue gas analyser
- Clean or check key components such as the heat exchanger, fan and condensate trap
- Test safety devices and controls
- Check system pressure and the expansion vessel
- Confirm the flue is safe and correctly terminated
- Record the service so your warranty stays valid
Why an annual service matters
A serviced boiler is safer, uses less gas and is far less likely to break down in the middle of winter. Most manufacturer warranties also require a yearly service by a Gas Safe registered engineer, so skipping it can cost you a free repair later.
